Marma – Energy Points of the Body

Traditional Bodywork & Inner Practice

Many of the methods I work with originate from traditional Indian healing systems.

These approaches do not view the human being in isolation, but as an interplay of body, breath, perception, and inner state.
The focus is not on “healing” in an abstract sense, but on a practical question:

How can the body return to a regulated, functional state?

I offer this work both through direct bodywork (massage & treatments) and through personal coaching sessions, where you learn to apply the techniques yourself and integrate them into your daily life.

Core Principle: The Body as a Regulated System

Rather than viewing the body purely mechanically, these methods work with an expanded understanding of:

  • tension and relaxation

  • activation and rest

  • perception and response

The goal is not to “fix” the body, but to support it in using its own regulatory processes more efficiently.

Working with Body, Breath, and Pressure Points

A central aspect is direct work with the body.

Through a combination of:

  • targeted touch and massage

  • breathing techniques

  • conscious direction of attention

the nervous system is addressed and can reorganize itself.

These approaches are applied both during treatments and in guided self-practice.

Marma Points

Marma points are sensitive areas in the body where different structures meet, such as nerves, fascia, and vessels.

Through targeted pressure, they can:

  • influence patterns of tension

  • improve circulation

  • calm or activate the nervous system

This work is directly tangible and based on physical response — not on belief systems.

Breath & Inner Regulation

Breath plays a central role in regulation.

It connects:

  • physical state

  • nervous system

  • attention

Through conscious breathing, you gain the ability to actively influence your state — for example in moments of stress, restlessness, or difficulty concentrating.

These techniques are individually adapted and taught in a way that allows you to apply them independently.

Focus & Mental Stability

Traditional practices use simple tools such as repetitive sounds or fixed points of attention to stabilize the mind.

This is especially helpful for:

  • easily distracted thinking

  • mental overload

  • ADHD

Here as well, the focus is on giving you practical tools that are truly usable in everyday life.

Understanding Traditional Models

Terms like chakras or nadis come from ancient yogic systems.

In my work, they are not taught as mystical concepts, but as practical orientation tools for the body:

  • to guide attention

  • to better understand inner states

  • to support regulation and awareness

Aim of the Practice

This work is not aimed at “enlightenment” or extraordinary states, but at something much more practical:

  • a calmer nervous system

  • a clearer mind

  • a more stable energy level

  • a deeper sense of the body

Essence

I combine the methods I work with in two forms:

  • direct bodywork (treatment & massage)

  • coaching & guidance for personal practice

This creates not only short-term relaxation, but the possibility to influence your own state in a sustainable way.

At the center is always direct experience:

What actually changes in your body — and how can you learn to influence it?
